TAOSNET ACCOUNT INFORMATION   TaosNet/NewMex is an Internet Service Provider serving the Enchanted Circle region of northern New Mexico - Taos, Taos Ski Valley, Angel Fire and Red River. This area details our services, rates, policies and procedures. TaosNet's purpose is to provide a graphic connection to the Internet to Taos County residents at a reasonable cost, to allow for commercial as well as educational use of the World Wide Web and to make available low cost, international communications via electronic mail. We also provide a venue for local entrepreneurs to create domains on the Web for profit, and a Resource Center for public internet access and education. TaosNet has five unix servers, two Cobalt RAQ Linux servers, a Silicon Graphics Indy running IRIX operating system, a Tatung running Solaris, a SuperMicro i686 system running Linux and one NT server. Our gateway to the Internet is through two high speed digital T1 circuits. Our network also consists of dial-up access servers for Taos, Angel Fire, and Red River areas, routers, and several dedicated digital circuits. We use Apache and Netscape Enterprise Pro web servers capable of SSL protocol for secure, encrypted transactions.
